Poetry...an expression of ourselves

Pathetic Fallacy

The pitter patter of the falling rain
Makes us grumble with disdain
We wonder how it all has changed
From the blistering heat to the weather today.

And when we feel stressed or depressed and we look outside
We feel as if even the weather knows our heart.

What do you think? Do I pass the test?
You see to me poetry and music are basically the same thing. I feel liberated and calm when I read and or write poetry and one day I would love it if my poetry could be published and assessed or studied by the general public. I don't write poetry just to say Oh look I can write poetry... I write because it makes me feel good, it gives me a sense of freedom a freedom only other poets can understand. It is putting yourself and what you feel and think out there for others to see and appreciate. It is pure freedom. I hope I wasn't cheesy but yeah this is what I think...What do you think?

It has been a while...

Hi guys! I have missed you. You see I have had a pretty intense week with all my school assignments and projects that are part of my exams and you know what is coming up midterm tests. Ugh!! I have reached my stress limit. One night I even ended up crying myself to bed....Oh well! So I have some very exciting news...from the 6th to the 12th November I'm going to be in Perugia, Italy for their Week for creativity organised by the Italian government and the EU. I'm going to have a blast I know plus it was all paid for so that is a little something extra that makes you enjoy the trip more. I just love Italy and this possibility is amazing. I'll tell you all about it when I get back.

School...

Hi there. Guess where I am I'm in one of my school's computer labs during my ICT lesson blogging. Nice right. Well it would be very nice if I weren't seated near these two guys who I'm sure have a God Complex....or maybe they are just teenagers. Yup, I think that is it. Okay, ignoring my very uncomfortable surroundings lets get down to business. So today I thought that since I was at school right now we would discuss, yeah you guessed it SCHOOL. Now who doesn't like school right -_-. The controlled, strict, almost constricting environment is the perfect setting to expand our minds and learn. Okay now sarcasm aside I believe in education the thing is that the present system is very exam oriented and leaves little room to enjoy yourself while learning without feeling stressed or pressured to be the best and get the highest scores. This factor i.e the stress brought about by the education system is one of the main factors in student depression and ultimately suicide. It is a very disturbing fact as the place where we should be and feel safe is triggering in us a sense of dread discomfort and stress. This makes it a very unhealthy environments for students yet no one is doing anything to stop this phenomenon. What do you think?

Book......worm :)

Hi again. So today I thought why not lets talk a bit.
So today I was thinking about books. Yeah yeah I know that not everyone out there is a bookworm but well...I am. So I thought I'd share some of my fave books and review them for you so that maybe like me you might find your family in a book.
Okay so these are my top 5 books of all time.

1.FanGirl by Rainbow Rowel
So this book is pretty much the coolest thing ever. It A doesn't involve a dystopian society. These kind of books have taken over every shelf in the bookstore and lets all admit that it can get annoying always reading the same kind of thing. So here is a shocker, this book is funny, truthful and seemingly effortless to read. It focuses on Cather, the main character and narrator of this book and gives us her experience when she goes to college. She is faced with a lot of hardships the first of them being that her twin sister Wren chose not to have Cather as her roommate. Then there is also the fact that Cather is quite shy and also doesn't know how to behave herself and make friends because she always had her sister to rely on. Furthermore she is a fan of Sam Snow, a very popular book saga about a magical universe kind of like Harry Potter meets Twilight, and adores writing fan fiction something her english professor thinks is like stealing and also the fact that her sister with whom which she used to write grew away from it and now Cather feels abandoned, hurt and very lost. However, romanticism as always also plays a good part in this novel. All in all this is a great book and one of my faves ever.

2.The Fault in our stars by John Green
Okay, so I couldn't not mention this book which has made so many teens blubber like babies. I mean lets be honest how could I not mention it. It is one of the best love stories out there and has a not so happy ending still I'm sure most of still dream of finding our own Gus who will whisk us off our feet and takes to magical love universe. Fine! I'm sure he doesn't actually exist so at least I have the book and the cinematographic Gus i.e Ansel Elgort to comfort myself. Yeah I have nothing more to say about this book if you don't know what it deals with you're seriously out of touch from the known universe. If you don't then go read then watch the film and you'll know the sweet torture that is TFiOS.

3.Dead Beautiful by Yvonne Woon
Okay, so my friend Chér is the one who introduced me to this marvelous book. Seriously AWESOME.
So it does kinda resemble Twilight in the way the love story happens and also for the fact that it deals with the Undead but other than that it is different. So here the main character is Renee Winters a seemingly normal girl with a normal life until she finds her parents dead in the woods and her world is overturned forever. She , you see, has always had an affinity to death and seems to always find her way to a dead animal something which will be later revealed in more detail. After her grandfather once again enters her life as her legal guardian he sends her to Gottfried. A different school. A school which will help her find out who she really is and also find her soul mate. Seems gripping right? Well I can assure you it is.

4.The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
These books need no introduction but what I will say is that I A loved them and B the universe and the events were a bit farfetched but still it was an awesome read. i enjoyed every bit of it and I'm sure I'll end up reading them again in the near future.

5.The Harry Potter Saga by J.K Rowling
So again these books need no intro so here is what I think. Harry Potter is immortal no matter how much times I read these books I will never get enough. The story is just gripping and beautiful and magical so I couldn't not mention them. Plus quick shout out to J.K Rowling who has made a fortune by doing what she loves and she still never forgot that there are others around her who were not as lucky and for helping those and knowing where she came from really shows what an amazing woman she really is.

So these were some, a very small bit of my fave books. I hope you enjoyed this list and I'll see the next time. Bye.

Ranting...Thinking...

Okay hi again.
So I just wanted to talk a bit so here goes.
Lately I have been posing myself a question which I feel is important.
The Question : What and who will I choose to become?
So I feel everyone goes through this when they are faced with the reality that sooner or later this is something inevitable we have to go through. I still am not quite sure which path to choose and to say the truth who can say they are. It is something we figure out as we go along but the important thing is to ultimately choose what makes us happy whether that means becoming super business personalities who earn millions or waiting in a restaurant or diner. If it makes you happy it's okay. I, personally truly believe that. I know it might be too idealistic but why choose something that makes you unhappy or uncomfortable? It doesn't make sense does it. I know this sometimes means the hard route but (cliche) everything worth it in life requires effort and hard work. The real question is are you ready to work hard to reach your goals and ultimately your happiness? I say HELL YEAH!
What do you think?

Update..

Hi I'm back. Sorry I couldn't post due to personal reasons and my chronic lack of free time.
Okay so let me introduce another of my obsessions...anything in general. You might ask yourself what I mean. Well it is very simple I get random and I mean RANDOM interests in an issue. an idea, a subject, practically anything that I might hear, read or think about.
Let me give you an example.
So, today I happen to be particularly interested in personality disorders. It would be completely normal if I studied psychology or had any interest in becoming a criminologist or something but I don't. So yeah...weirded out yet cause I sure am.
Well see you the next time I find a spare 5mins to write.
Bye.
